Hi! My name is Zach. I'm an experienced editor with a Bachelor's degree in History from Columbia University. For the past five years I've tutored and edited students of all ages: high schoolers applying to college or getting their GED; 20somethings applying to graduate school; and even adults getting their Master's degrees. I am a thorough and committed editor and experienced in refining academic, personal, creative, application-style, and standardized test writing. I also offer English, History, and high school Math tutoring.
I believe in catering my style to the student. I've taught as a teaching assistant at Columbia University and in larger cohort settings as well as one-on-one both in person and over Zoom. Regardless of setting, my priority is the student's comfort and ability to improve the consistent quality of their work. My goal, whether in a tutoring or editing context, is always to leave the student better equipped than before their session. To me, that means working comprehensively and building skills both basic and complex.
