Joel teaches voice lessons using an inter-genre approach. Equally at home in classical and musical theater, Joel's teaching style applies the fundamentals of classical voice to all genres. His students learn how to maximize their resonance with a bel canto "one-voice" approach, and with these fundamentals they can easily access all vocal styles—from belt to operatic—with a healthy and efficient mechanism. He works mainly with professional or professional-aspiring singers hoping to upkeep and improve their craft, and with young musicians who want to perform at collegiate or professional levels.

He will help you sing healthfully, expand your vocal agility, unlock the potential of your instrument, and let you tackle pieces you didn’t know could be in your book.

Half hour lessons are great for working repertoire and preparing for auditions. Hour lessons are great for a deep dive into improving technique. Joel values long-term student relationships, but will also take students wanting short-term prep for upcoming performances.

Joel teaches currently teaches live and over Zoom, and is comfortable using low latency audio platforms that allow for accompanying in real time.
