I'm a lifelong writer with over a decade of experience in journalism and non-profit communications. Both involved editing other staff members' work and coaching junior employees, usually in their early twenties, through outlining, drafting, and revising. My work has appeared in AlterNet, Hyperallergic, Vice, and Art & Object, among other publications. I've also written and edited work for software and real estate companies, among other corporate and non-profit clients.

Now, I do the same with college students (usually between the ages of 17-22) at the City University of New York, where I'm a writing tutor at John Jay College. I guide students through all stages of the writing process and in multiple formats. Whether it's a lab report, a history essay, or a literature project, I work with students to make their points sharp and their voices shine. I approach the work with empathy, humor, and flexibility. I've been where they are, and I use my personal experience to help students produce better writing with fewer headaches. I can do appointments in person, online, and asynchronously.
I have. BA in Government from Smith College and an MS in Urban Policy from The New School.
