Hello! My name is Haley and I am a professional screenwriter for a variety of Emmy-nominated shows on PBS Kids, like Donkey Hodie, Super Why's Comic Book Adventures, and Rosie's Rules. In 2023, I graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a 4.0 GPA in Human Rights and Film Studies, where I also studied literature and creative writing. As an ardent reader and writer, I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and improving their language skills!
In the past, I have been a English, French, and SAT/ACT tutor, mentoring and tutoring students in both formal and informal capacities. I am a highly flexible teacher and I like to structure lessons and sessions around what works best for the student and their needs. Aside from school subjects, I have extensive experience guiding high school seniors through their college admissions journey, whether it be editing essays or shaping a narrative. As a dual citizen, I am familiar with both the American and Canadian university systems, and have helped students get accepted into schools like Columbia University, University of Southern California, and University of Waterloo.
All in all, I am known to be a highly empathetic and successful tutor, and I'm happy to chat further about a teaching plan that suits your goals. I am here to support you as best I can in your learning journey, and I will always be rooting for your success!
