I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a strong emphasis on Mathematics, earned from Seattle University. During my studies, I completed advanced coursework in calculus, statistics, general and molecular biology, as well as chemistry and physics. My academic training provided me with a solid STEM foundation, and I’ve always gravitated toward making complex topics more accessible for others. In addition to my degree, I’ve also completed a course in data science using Excel and a university-level course in Python, which has further strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills.
My tutoring experience began in college, where I volunteered as a peer tutor for underclassmen in biology and math. I worked one-on-one with students ranging from high school juniors preparing for standardized tests to college sophomores struggling with lab reports and quantitative reasoning. My tutoring approach is patient, tailored, and student-led—I always start by understanding where a student is in their learning journey and adjust my teaching style accordingly. Whether a student is a visual learner, needs real-world analogies, or benefits from step-by-step repetition, I adapt to ensure clarity and confidence.
I’ve worked with students from ages 14 to 22, helping them navigate challenging coursework, build study skills, and prepare for exams. While most of my experience has been one-on-one, I’ve also led small group review sessions in preparation for finals. I'm currently based in New York City and am passionate about supporting students in STEM subjects as they build knowledge and academic independence. I look forward to helping students not only meet their goals but feel empowered in the process.
