I hold a Master’s in Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, which I earned through the competitive NYC Teaching Fellows program. I also have a Master’s in Finance from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in Political Economics from Columbia University. My educational background, paired with over 20 years of tutoring experience, has shaped a deep understanding of both academic content and how students learn best.
I taught 7th grade math in a public school in the South Bronx for seven years, working with diverse groups of students in a classroom setting. My approach focused on building foundational understanding through real-world problem-solving and differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner. Since transitioning out of the classroom, I now homeschool a student with autism full-time, supporting them across all core subjects. This experience has sharpened my skills in personalized education, patience, and adapting content and pacing to suit different learning styles.
Currently, I tutor full-time and am excited to bring my expertise to the Wyzant platform. My tutoring is tailored, relationship-based, and results-driven. Whether I’m supporting students who are struggling or helping advanced learners deepen their understanding, I draw on my rich background as both an educator and mentor to help them reach their full potential.
