I am an undergraduate student at NYU majoring in mathematics. I graduated from Stuyvesant High School. I have a deep passion for mathematics and years of experience tutoring students of all levels. My academic foundation is backed by a perfect 1590 SAT score, a 5 in each of AP Calculus BC, AP Precalculus, and AP Statistics, a qualification for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination), one of the nation’s most prestigious math competitions. I have also successfully completed Columbia University’s Math in Action Precollege Program, further expanding my exposure to advanced problem-solving and mathematical thinking. In recognition of my achievements, I was honored by the College Board National Recognition Program. I am a College Board invited SAT bootcamp tutor through Schoolhouse. I am a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, a U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Candidate, an AP Scholar with Honor, and a proud member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).

Over the past several years, I have tutored students in SAT Math, SAT Reading, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, helping them build confidence and achieve excellent results. My students have gone on to significantly improve their test scores, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and in many cases exceed their own expectations. I tailor my approach to each student’s learning style, breaking down complex concepts into clear steps and emphasizing both accuracy and intuition.

As a competitive mathematician and active learner myself, I understand the challenges students face, and I strive to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and pushing themselves further. Whether the goal is to excel in class, prepare for a competitive exam, or simply build stronger foundations, I am dedicated to helping students achieve success and discover the satisfaction that comes with mastering math.

Chess

Chess

I have competed in USCF and FIDE-rated tournaments for many years and have won multiple class prizes, including first place in my section at the 2026 World Open and the NYC Grade Metropolitan Championship. I've also defeated National Masters in classical tournament play and have extensive online experience, reaching peak ratings above 2400 in bullet and rapid. As a member of the Gift of Chess Junior Advisory Board, I'm passionate about making chess accessible and helping students improve through calculation, pattern recognition, and practical tournament strategy. Whether you're just learning the game or working toward tournament success, I'd be happy to help you reach your goals.
English

English

I am an incoming NYU mathematics student and earned a 1590 SAT score, including an 800 in Reading & Writing. Throughout high school, I have worked with students through peer tutoring, SAT preparation programs, and one-on-one instruction. My approach to English and ELA tutoring focuses on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, analytical writing, and critical thinking. I help students develop strategies for understanding complex texts, identifying main ideas and supporting evidence, making inferences, and expressing their ideas clearly in writing. Because I recently completed the college admissions process and the SAT myself, I am familiar with the reading and writing skills expected of today’s students. I strive to make lessons engaging, personalized, and focused on building both confidence and long-term academic skills.
Geometry

Geometry

I have a strong background in mathematics through advanced coursework, math competitions, and tutoring experience. In Geometry, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind theorems and proofs rather than simply memorizing formulas. I work with students to develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence with both computational and proof-based questions. Whether a student is preparing for a class, Regents exam, or looking to get ahead, I aim to build a solid foundation that will support future math courses.
HTML

HTML

I’m an incoming mathematics major at NYU with experience building websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I enjoy helping beginners understand how web pages are structured and how to create clean, interactive websites from the ground up. My lessons emphasize understanding concepts rather than copying code, allowing students to confidently build and modify their own projects. I tailor each lesson to the student’s experience level and interests, making programming both approachable and enjoyable.
JavaScript

JavaScript

I have experience programming in JavaScript and creating interactive web projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. SAT Math

I am a graduating senior at Stuyvesant High School in New York City and an incoming Mathematics major at NYU. I earned a 1590 on the SAT and have extensive experience with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and SAT Math. In addition to my own academic experience, I have tutored students in SAT preparation and mathematics through both private tutoring and educational volunteer programs. I was invited by College Board to serve as a volunteer SAT tutor through Schoolhouse.world, where I worked with students preparing for the SAT Math and Reading & Writing sections. Rather than focusing solely on getting the correct answer, I help students understand why methods work, recognize common patterns, avoid frequent mistakes, and develop the skills needed to solve unfamiliar problems independently. I also teach SAT-specific techniques, including time management, question analysis, strategic calculator and Desmos usage, and approaches to the most common SAT Math question types. My goal is to help students maximize both their mathematical understanding and their SAT performance.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

Hello, I am a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and an incoming student at NYU. I earned a 1590 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the Reading & Writing section, and I am a National Merit Finalist. In addition to my own SAT success, I have experience helping students through both one-on-one tutoring and SAT-related group programs, including tutoring through Schoolhouse.world, a platform supported by College Board. Through this experience, I have worked with students at a variety of score levels and have developed a strong understanding of the Digital SAT format, question types, timing strategies, and the skills tested on the Reading & Writing section. My approach focuses on helping students understand why correct answers are correct and why incorrect answers are wrong, rather than relying on memorization or guessing strategies. I work with students to strengthen reading comprehension, grammar, rhetorical analysis, and time management while identifying recurring patterns in their mistakes and building confidence with challenging questions. Whether a student is aiming to improve their score significantly or striving for a top-percentile result, my goal is to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed on the SAT and beyond. Best, Arko
SAT Writing

SAT Writing

I scored a 1590 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the Reading and Writing section. My approach is to help students understand the reasoning behind grammar rules, rhetorical questions, and answer choices instead of memorizing tricks. I focus on building the confidence and consistency needed to solve unfamiliar questions independently and improve scores over time. Whether you’re looking to improve by 50 points or aiming for the 1500+ range, I’d be happy to help.
Trigonometry
