Hi! My name is Adea, and I am a 24-year-old Research Assistant in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University.
I have a strong background in health sciences, with coursework in chemistry, biology, and anatomy & physiology. I earned my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Neuroscience from Brown University, where I gained extensive experience using statistical software like R and STATA. I also taught a graduate-level biostatistics and applied data analysis course, leading weekly sessions for 10–15 students and providing one-on-one tutoring upon request.
I have experience working with students of various ages and am available to tutor grades 6–12 in Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Biology, Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Genetics, and English/Writing. I also offer tutoring in undergraduate statistics and biostatistics. Additionally, I can assist with academic writing, manuscript editing, creating figures, and putting together presentations.
I believe in tailoring my teaching approach to each student’s learning style, reinforcing critical concepts, and building confidence. I am available for both online and in-person tutoring in Manhattan and am located near Columbia University!
