I’m a Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a strong background in teaching and mentoring students in science and medical-related subjects. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature. I completed two years of general surgery residency and spent five years working in basic science research, giving me hands-on experience in science and medicine.
I’ve been tutoring students in different subjects for years. In college, I was a supplemental instructor for psychology, leading review sessions to help students break down difficult topics. I also tutored German, making language learning interactive and engaging. One of my most rewarding experiences was working as a supplemental instruction leader for MCAT preparation, helping students strengthen their knowledge and test-taking strategies, ultimately guiding them toward medical school admission.
My tutoring style is student-centered and flexible. I start by assessing what a student already knows and identifying their biggest challenges in a no-pressure environment. Then, I tailor a study plan to their learning style and needs. I specialize in breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand concepts, helping students build confidence in their learning.
I’m happy to tutor students of all ages in science and medical-related subjects, including psychology, biology, anatomy, and physiology. My experience as a surgery resident has given me a deep understanding of anatomy, and I enjoy making it more accessible and interesting for students.
Above all, I want my students to feel supported and empowered in their learning journey. Whether you’re struggling with a subject, preparing for a big test, or looking to deepen your understanding, I’m here to help make learning clearer, more engaging, and less stressful!
