I am currently a second year student and John Jay Scholar at Columbia University majoring in Applied Mathematics and minoring in Computer Science. I received a score of 1570 on my SAT (780 English and 790 Math) and also later became a National Merit Scholar (0.5% acceptance) after going through the PSAT/NMSC process. I was accepted to Columbia University (and the Columbia Undergraduate Scholars Program), University of Pennsylvania's VIPER Program (Vagelos Integrated Program in Energy Research - only 25-30 students accepted per year), Cornell University, and Boston College. Currently, at Columbia, I tutor high school students in STEM subjects as part of my sci-inspire club.
Currently, I am working as a TA at a SAT prep cram school and have gained experience tutoring the digital SAT, which requires specific test-taking techniques. All throughout high school and college, I have been tutoring students from various age groups such as elementary school, middle school, and high school. I have taught NYS common core test prep, NYS Regents test prep, and AP test prep in addition to tutoring specific subjects that my students have requested. As for AP exams, I received a 5 on AP World History, AP Seminar, AP Biology, AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, and AP Physics C: Mechanics. I will diligently tailor tutoring experiences for each student so that every student can achieve their academic goals step by step.
