Hi, I’m Kristy. I recently graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Political Science. Many pre-med students struggle with CARS, but I’m confident I can help you turn it into a strength. With my educational background in both STEM and social sciences, I understand the differences between reading text in each field and can help you adjust accordingly. CARS isn’t just a test, it’s a puzzle, and with the right tools and strategies, you can solve it!
I am also able to provide support in ACT Reading and English where I scored a 35 and 36, respectively. My methods usually involve asking students to answer 1-2 passages to learn how they approach questions. My goal is to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses in these areas and use strategies personalized to you to improve your scores. We will also work together to create a rigorous but realistic study plan, focusing on issues like content mastery, pacing, and avoid distractors, to ensure you stay on track between sessions.
