Second lesson
Had my second lesson with Ethan. He really helped me with my college music theory homework. Especially for reading music. I did very well in my previous assignment that I completed together with him. And so I wanted to work on this new assignment too. What I also love about our lessons is that he always plays his own piano compositions as well as the movies and tv shows he does scores for. Very cool. Learnt a lot this session.

Great teacher and mentor - goes the extra mile
I had a lesson with Ethan for my music theory class at CU Boulder and it was honestly one of the best music tutoring sessions I have had. He explained things in a way that finally clicked for me and and he did not mind slowing down or re-explaining until I got it. What I really appreciated is that he didn’t just stick to the textbook - he asked about my own music and ended up giving me extra time to go through Logic Pro X. He showed me how I could actually use the theory I am learning in class to make my own compositions stronger - which was really valuable. Ethan clearly knows his stuff - but he Is also patient and easy to talk to. The session felt more like working with a mentor than just a tutor. I left feeling way more confident about my class and also more inspired about my own music writing. I have already decided I will be taking another lesson with him. Highly recommend!
