I am a psychology and ESL tutor with a strong academic foundation and several years of teaching experience across high school, college, and international programs. I hold a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and a Master of Education in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and I am currently completing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University. My graduate training allows me to explain psychological concepts clearly, connect theories to real-world examples, and support students in building strong critical thinking and study skills.

I have taught AP Psychology in a classroom setting, where I worked with diverse high school learners and guided them through the full College Board curriculum. I also taught ESL and microeconomics to multilingual high school students through New York University in both the United States and China. These roles exposed me to a wide range of ages, proficiency levels, and learning styles, strengthening my ability to differentiate instruction and adapt material so that students feel confident and engaged.

My tutoring style is warm, structured, and student-centered. I take time to understand each learner’s goals, challenges, and preferred ways of processing information, and I use that to shape our sessions. In psychology, I help students master course content, review for exams, write stronger essays, and understand research and statistics. In ESL, I focus on practical communication skills, fluency, vocabulary building, and grammar support. Above all, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing into more independent learners.
