I have been a teaching assistant in Emory University's biology department for 2 years, helping students learn introductory biology, biochemistry, human anatomy and physiology. I created original lesson plans that I taught to groups of students outside of the classroom with other teaching assistants. These lesson plans included exam practice problems and case studies. When students attended my sessions, I saw an increased in their quiz scores thereafter. I pursued being a teaching assistant as a full-time student at Emory University and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in 2024. I have a lot of experience in honing study strategies and teaching scientific material as I have taken the following classes as a premedical student: biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and human physiology.
Aside from my scientific academic background, I majored in art history. My goal is to make these subjects digestible and help students develop a deep understanding of these subjects such that they can apply principles to larger concepts. Through original case studies and practice problems, I want my students to build up the skills and confidence that they need to successfully tackle complex and nuanced scientific subjects.
