In the 1980s-1990s I was most active performing in the heyday of metal, recorded demo tapes, EP, LP, and played countless shows opening for bigger acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Nick Bowcott's band Barfly, the Icemen, the Lunachicks, etc. at venues like NY Marquee, CBGBs, the Sundance in Long Island NY, and the outdoor NY Scum Festival in the Village. My band is in featured in Encyclopedia Metallum, and has been featured in several magazines such as Metal Mania and Metal Maniacs. I am a songwriter as well as a electric guitar player and bass guitar player as my secondary instrument.
I had recently been on takelessons for over 2 years and taught hundreds of lessons which earned very positive feedback as posted by the students.
As a child, I had taken guitar lessons from then NY Schools of Music studying under Arthur Cremin who had written books, played multiple instruments, wrote studies on metronome usage, etc. I then progressed to taking classical guitar lessons, rock guitar lessons, and jazz guitar lessons from various independent teachers as I was developing my style over the years. My hard rock teachniques are heavily influenced by Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, Uli Roth, Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, etc. The heavier speed metal aspects of my playing were heavily influenced by Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Possessed, Venom, Motorhead while the regular metal aspects were influenced by Judas Priest, Dio, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, early Def Leppard, Kiss, and also Iron Maiden.
