With a passion in teaching, I entered Shanghai Teacher's Univ. from which I had a BA in math. I also had an MA in math from the Univ. of South Florida, and an MBA from NYU. Peter is an outstanding tutor! He helped my daughter improve her math score for the SAT significantly! In just a few weeks her score went from a 710 to a 780 thanks to Peter! He has a clear strategy and approach that includes his own math problems and others from multiple sources otherwise difficult to find. He is patient, detailed, and explains each problem to her carefully! By the time she had gone through his carefully developed process, she was routinely scoring between 760 and 800 in her practice tests, scoring 780in the actual Math section of the SAT! He has done a wonderful job adapting his teaching style to suit both of my children, who are younger and at different learning levels. One is in 3rd grade and the other in 5th grade, and both genuinely enjoy learning under Peter’s guidance. Peter was able to help me increase my GRE Quant score by 10 points in 2 months - an outcome critical to my acceptance to an Engineering Master's program. Peter is devoted and engaged with his tutoring techniques (creating lesson plans and powerpoints) and students (catering lessons to their strengths and weaknesses). He was flexible to changing lesson cadence and was not afraid to provide encouragement to me to keep working on my weak areas. He is also pretty funny & an excellent pickleball player from what I have heard.

We've had a very positive experience with Peter. He proposed a detailed study plan for my son, taking into account all his needs to achieve a better score on the next SAT attempt. Peter also provided detailed feedback after each lesson and even gave an estimate of how much the score could improve, based on his experience with many similar students. My son also enjoys working with him, despite initially being reluctant about the idea of additional studies. He hasn't taken the SAT yet, but based on the practice tests, I can see real improvement.
