My name is Devin! I graduated from the University of Notre Dame as the valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. I studied Neuroscience and Education at Notre Dame and pursued my Masters in Mental Health in Education at the University of York through the UK Fulbright Scholarship. My studies have led me to be very interested in the intersection of mental health and academics, and one way I've been able to be involved in this is through tutoring.
I have tutored general and organic chemistry, physics, calculus, and introductory philosophy while I was a student in college, and after graduating, have started to specialize in MCAT preparation. I scored a 525 on the MCAT (100th percentile) and was accepted to 17 medical schools including full tuition/full cost of attendance scholarships to Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania, and NYU. With regards to MCAT preparation, I am ready to meet students where they're at, whether that be creating a study plan from scratch or trouble-shooting any specifically challenging topics. I aim to create tutoring sessions that mix learning new material with live practice, where questions are welcomed and encouraged!
Outside school, you can find me running on the West Side Highway, playing tennis or pickleball, or planning a trip to a NYC restaurant.
