I'm a current student at Columbia University, majoring in Math and Statistics. I have significant experience tutoring for both curricular and standardized test mathematics, and I can honestly say that I love it. I'm a great fit for any kind of math challenge, whether a student is struggling and could use a helping hand or whether they're ambitious and trying to get ahead.
A little bit about my qualifications: In high school, I started a volunteer SAT tutoring program in partnership with a local nonprofit, and tutored for a combined total of 40+ hours over the course of just one semester. I tutored local high schoolers in all levels of curricular math, from Algebra I all the way up to Calculus BC, both on a volunteer and paid basis, accumulating another 40+ hours of experience. I did all this in addition to my coursework, simply because I love to help students do their best. There's nothing like the feeling when a concept clicks, and I can see the lightbulb go off in a student's head. Making complicated concepts simple and helping students build mastery and confidence is my specialty.
Not only do I have significant tutoring experience, but I have very strong qualifications in math. I've taken several PhD level math and statistics courses over the past few years at Columbia University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, while also working with a machine learning lab and accruing several publications in high-profile venues.
With all this background and experience, I'm confident I can help any student get to the next level when it comes to math.
