As someone who has just taken and passed USMLE STEP 1 all my tips and tricks, mnemonics and knowledge for this exam are FRESH and ready to be shared! My approach to studying is based on concept understanding as opposed to memorizing. I haven’t used anki or flashcards for step or any of my medical school studies and have been successful given my inherent understanding of each topic. Less memorization, less forgetting.
I also think it’s important that I recognize and that you recognize the ability for any student to make drastic improvement with their scores. I obtained honors each medical school term with ease and originally had difficulty with studying for the USMLE. I had to adapt my study habits for this specific exam and I’m ready to share everything that worked for me and what I’ve heard worked for others as well! Everyone learns differently.
I have tutored medical students for 2 years now, and previously in my undergraduate years, so I am super patient, motivational and nonjudgmental in my teaching style. I welcome any and all questions and place an emphasis on basic concepts, so that we can build from there!
What I can offer:
-Going over Uworld questions and concepts
-Going over First Aid chapters or any concepts for USMLE
-Free prepared notes tailored to each session
-Original mnemonics I came up with and have used through my studies
-Study plan scheduling and timeline advice
-Advice on which resources to use
and anything else you think may help you succeed!
Reach out for a free consultation call and we can discuss your goals and what you’re looking for. I’m excited to help med students feel the relief I’m feeling right now, after passing USMLE Step 1.
