Hello,
I'm Hac Seob K, originally from Korea, where I completed my education from elementary school to university. It has been 17 years since I relocated to the United States for work. Three years ago, I embarked on a teaching journey at a Korean school in Manhattan. Teaching Korean has proven to be both enjoyable and fulfilling for me. This experience provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with students and parents who share an interest in the Korean language and culture.
My students, primarily from the 2nd and 3rd generations of Korean immigrants, range from 1st to 3rd graders. I guide them from mastering basic consonants and vowels to reading, writing, and progressing to compound vowels and final consonants. Throughout the semesters, we expand our studies to include more vocabulary and engage in conversation practice through role-play drills. Additionally, I teach an adult (one of the students' fathers) to enhance the ability to engage in free conversations, improve listening comprehension, speaking practice with correct grammar, and use practical expressions.
The current surge in interest in Korean culture, encompassing K-POP, K-FOOD, and K-Drama in the United States, reflects the global fascination with Korea. Learning Korean not only enhances your reading, writing, and speaking skills but also allows for a deeper understanding and enjoyment of Korean culture. I am here to assist you (and your children) in growing and developing as you embark on this language-learning journey with me. I look forward to meeting you.
