I earned my BS in molecular biology and biochemistry with highest honors at UNC Chapel Hill. I finished my education at UNC one year early to make it back home to NYC and assist my family with issues pertaining to COVID. During that time, I assisted with the COVID relief effort by building the Central Park Hospital for Mount Sinai, conducting research on acute COVID in stroke and for those affected by long COVID. I also had a research position as a cancer biologist at Sloan Kettering. Afterwards, I began a position as a researcher in the department of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Hospital. Now, I am a second year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where I study, teach younger students, conduct my research, and serve as my base of operations for start-up work to improve the current data pools on drug-gene interactions.
I have traditionally tutored all scientific subjects that serve as prerequisites for the MCAT as well as all biological courses up to an including advanced molecular biology. Most of my students have worked with me toward SAT and/or ACT (all sections).
I believe my tutoring style stands out since my field and life is built around being a forever-learner and educating. Medicine does not progress unless folks of all levels learn from and teach each other relentlessly. I hope to pass on the same skills and styles to my students so that they might succeed and eventually do the same.
