I am a proud graduate of CUNY Hunter College, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. During my studies, I completed advanced coursework including Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Calculus I-IV, and Real Analysis. My GPA was a 3.2, and I was on the Dean's List for my first year of college. My passion for mathematics has always driven me to excel academically, and I am proud of the strong foundation I built throughout my education. I enjoy sharing this enthusiasm with others and helping students develop their own appreciation for math.

Professionally, I have gained valuable tutoring experience through CUNY Tutor Corps, where I worked with high school students in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Precalculus over multiple semesters. Additionally, I helped fifth graders during a summer semester by guiding them through a science curriculum designed to be both fun and informative. I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including English language learners and students with IEPs. Being fluent in Spanish has allowed me to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking students and support their learning. Beyond tutoring, my current role as a procurement analyst has strengthened my organizational skills, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities, all of which I bring to my tutoring sessions.

My teaching philosophy centers on building a strong understanding of the fundamentals and encouraging consistent practice. I believe that students improve most when they actively engage with problems rather than simply receiving answers. I focus on helping students recognize patterns, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence in their abilities. I particularly enjoy tutoring high school students in Algebra and Calculus, as these subjects are my favorite to teach. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can overcome math anxiety and reach their full potential.
