Beginning in my junior year of high school, I have multiple years of tutoring students ranging from middle school to college in a variety of subjects including Spanish, writing, math, and science. As a tutor, I strive to create a warm, supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to explore new concepts, ask questions, and develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. My goal is to foster a love for learning and help students build the confidence they need to excel academically and beyond.
I lived in Costa Rica periodically throughout my childhood and studied the language in my undergraduate studies. My combined experiences of immersion in Hispanic culture in conjunction with having studied the language in a classroom setting provide me with a unique perspective as a Spanish tutor.
I have also played basketball professionally overseas (in Portugal, Iceland, Canada, and Kazakhstan). I am extremely passionate about the sport and nothing excites me more than helping an aspiring player develop their game.
