We have been working with Minhee for just over a year now. Our situation: - our KoreanAmerican daughter-in-law had our first grandchild six months ago. She wants to be sure the Korean language stays in their family even though our son is American and they live in the States. And so we met Minhee on the Wyzant site. Minhee caters our lessons to our situation. Most people learn travel words I guess but we learn about ears and nose and fingers and toes and counting to 10 and please and thank you, and food.. :-) Because we have traveled to Korea with our daughter in law and are very good friends with her Korean-speaking parents, sometimes a lot of our lesson is consumed by just discussing cultural issues that are good for us to know. Working with Minhee has just been perfect for us in every way.

Not only is she highly knowledgeable in the lessons she teaches, she is dedicated and will go over time to answer questions. Amazing Korean Tutor!!!
Minhee's lessons are always informative and fun! I have been taking classes with her for over half a year now and my Korean has significantly improved with her help. She finds the right teaching materials specific to my level, and experiments with different teaching format to help me practice speaking, grammar, listening and comprehension. She is equipped to teach all levels of Korean. Very importantly, Minhee welcomes feedback from her students to better tailor the lesson to their needs. When I told Minhee that I wanted to focus on speaking, she immediately took that into consideration and created a list of discussion topics for our next lesson, where she encouraged me to speak up, helped me with sentence completion and taught me new expressions and vocabulary. To me, that's exactly what I needed so I really appreciate her flexibility and proactiveness. I think learning a foreign language, especially when you don't have the language learning environment to practice, is challenging. Having a tutor who understands your challenge, and is truly caring and knowledgeable, is invaluable to overcome the fear of speaking up. For that, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Minhee and look forward to continuing my Korean learning journey with her.

Patient and encouraging
I appreciate that Minhee is patient and doesn't rush me but still pushes me to move forward and not give up. I like that she took the time to talk with me about my motivation for learning Korean and my preferred learning style. It's obvious that she's an experienced teacher who enjoys her work and it's comforting knowing that I can trust her to guide me on this language-learning journey. Rating as a language tutor.
Starts with basics and is learning my level of knowledge of Korean. Easy to work with. She corrects me but does not make me feel badly when I am incorrect. She seems to enjoy teaching which to me is important.
