I am passionate about theatre. It is fun, challenging at times, but being involved in theatre on any level, is always exciting! And when you can make a living doing it, there is no better job in the world.
I teach Principles of Playwriting and Acting, the building blocks to a great play and a great performance. By teaching Principles, once learned, a student can use these principles to write future plays and be excellent again and again and again on stage. I like to teach actual skills that a student can use for a lifetime. I don't just critique. Critique is an opinion. Actual skills are the HOW! I believe in excellence as a way of life in the theatre, and I want to inspire my students to be excellent and super creative.
For both Playwriting and Acting, I have been teaching students for over 30 years in New York City, in my acting and my playwriting classes, in working privately one on one, and in the work I do bringing plays to life.
I base how we work based on what you specifically need to learn, for everyone is different.
The work I do is individualized, focused and most importantly fun! Fun is a key in learning anything, and with acting and playwriting, fun is paramount.
Fun takes one to their creative side where the best plays are written and the best performances are created.
