Hello, I’m Ian! I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with high honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Minor in Health and Medical Sciences. I completed courses in all levels of Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Neuroscience, and Computer Science. I also completed graduate level coursework in my Master of Science in Medical Sciences at Boston University. These courses focused on Medical Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Histology, Pharmacology, and Anatomy.
I am available to tutor any high school or college level Biology, including AP Bio. I can also do any high school or college level Anatomy as well as Physiology and Histology. Classes focusing on the foundations of computing in Python are also perfect for my expertise. Additional focus areas include: Neuroscience, Psychology, Biopsychology, Neuroanatomy, Organic Chemistry I, Biostatistics, Cancer Bio, Behavioral Bio, Computing in Python.
I have experience teaching and tutoring as both a head teaching assistant and a one-on-one tutor. I have worked with students in a large classroom setting, small groups, and individually. I also scored 750+ on SAT Math and 700+ on both levels of the SAT Math Subject Tests, in addition to a 35 on the ACT Math. I am available to tutor both the SAT and ACT math sections as well as any English or general test taking strategies. I like to have the preparation include test taking strategies and the practices to implement that will help you put your best foot forward on test day.
