I am a senior at NYU studying Music Business and a recent law school admit, with a strong academic background in both writing and music that I am excited to bring to my tutoring work. I have scored a 35 on the ACT English section and have extensive experience writing and editing college-level research papers, giving me a solid foundation for helping middle and high school students develop their writing skills. My approach to essay and writing tutoring focuses on building strong structure and clear argumentation, and I believe in meeting students where they are — using constructive feedback and patient, scaffolded instruction to help them grow with confidence. I have been a musician since third grade, studying and performing for over fifteen years, and I earned a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam. For the past five years I have taught cello privately in a one-on-one setting, working with students of varying ages and skill levels. This experience has sharpened my ability to break down complex concepts into digestible steps and adapt my teaching style to each individual learner. I am comfortable working with beginners as well as more advanced students. Whether in writing or music, I prioritize creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe that genuine understanding matters more than rote memorization, and I work to help students build skills they can apply independently long after our sessions end.
