I am a senior at NYU studying Music Business and a recent law school admit, with a strong academic background in both writing and music that I am excited to bring to my tutoring work. I have scored a 35 on the ACT English section and have extensive experience writing and editing college-level research papers, giving me a solid foundation for helping middle and high school students develop their writing skills. My approach to essay and writing tutoring focuses on building strong structure and clear argumentation, and I believe in meeting students where they are — using constructive feedback and patient, scaffolded instruction to help them grow with confidence. I have been a musician since third grade, studying and performing for over fifteen years, and I earned a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam. For the past five years I have taught cello privately in a one-on-one setting, working with students of varying ages and skill levels. This experience has sharpened my ability to break down complex concepts into digestible steps and adapt my teaching style to each individual learner. I am comfortable working with beginners as well as more advanced students. Whether in writing or music, I prioritize creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe that genuine understanding matters more than rote memorization, and I work to help students build skills they can apply independently long after our sessions end.

Cello

I am a classically trained cellist of 11 years and have been taking private lessons without breaks since 2011. I joined my first orchestra in 2012 and have been a part of symphony, string ensembles, and chamber groups every year since then. I was first chair and section leader for three different orchestras. I trained with Laszlo Mezo for the past five years and auditioned for New York University with Lalo Cello Concerto No. 1 in D minor, I. Prelude. In LA i mentored middle school students in cello and I currently teach the cello to elementary students for Musical Mentors Collaborative through NYU. I am a Music Major currently taking music theory and aural comprehension courses along with cello private lessons.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

As a pre-law student at NYU, I have completed rigorous college-level writing coursework including Advanced College Essay Writing and Journalism, the latter taken during a study abroad semester in Prague. I have extensive experience researching and writing academic papers, including research in economics and the law of music copyright regulation. I scored a 35 on the ACT English section and have successfully crafted the written components of competitive law school applications, including personal statements. I specialize in helping middle and high school students with argumentative essays, literary analysis, and research papers, using a patient and constructive approach that focuses on building structure, clarity, and independent writing skills.
Music Theory

Music Theory

I am a classically trained musician who has studied music since third grade and earned a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam. At NYU, I completed the full music theory sequence from Music Theory I through IV, as well as Advanced Music Theory in 21st Century Music, representing the highest level of music theory coursework offered at the university. For the past five years I have taught cello privately in a one-on-one setting, working with students of varying ages and skill levels. My teaching approach breaks down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, and I am comfortable working with beginners through advanced students on topics including notation, ear training, harmony, and composition.
