Hi! I’m Armen, and I’m excited to help you achieve your learning goals. I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, and I’ve been teaching and mentoring students for over a decade. I’m also a professional data scientist and machine learning expert, specializing in areas like predictive modeling, neural networks, and generative AI. My teaching journey began in 2012 as a teaching assistant, where I helped students in calculus, statistics, linear algebra, and differential equations. Since then, I’ve taught undergraduate courses in probability, statistics, and discrete mathematics at Georgia Tech as a Visiting Assistant Professor. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, from high schoolers to college students and adult learners.

What I love most about teaching is helping students realize they’re capable of more than they think. I know math and science can feel intimidating, so I focus on breaking concepts down into simple, relatable ideas and showing how they apply to real-world problems. My goal is to make learning as interactive and engaging as possible—whether that’s through fun examples, hands-on exercises, or just making space for lots of questions. In my classes, there’s no such thing as a “bad” question!

I’m also a big believer in tailoring my approach to fit each student’s needs. Everyone learns differently, so I try to meet my students where they are and build from there.
