Hi, I’m Ibrahim Malick, a Bronx-based tutor with a PhD in Interfaith Dialogue and Diplomacy from EUCLID University and an M.A. in Anthropology from The New School for Social Research. I bring more than 30 years of experience in IT and digital security, supported by certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cybersecurity Specialist, CISM, and CCIE Routing and Switching. My professional work includes roles with Fortinet, Cisco, and AT&T, supporting clients such as Coca-Cola and American Express.
I have taught Programming and Computer Newtorking to undergraduate students in the U.S. and abroad. I have also coached hundreds of students, including first-generation immigrant children, helping them strengthen academic skills and confidence. My approach is patient and student-focused: I explain challenging ideas clearly, use examples and guided practice, and adapt lessons to each student’s goals and current level.
I tutor AP Computer Science A, SAT preparation, English Literature, Math, World History, Social Sciences, academic writing, AP coursework, and IELTS preparation. For AP Computer Science A, I help students learn Java, understand core programming concepts, trace code, and practice exam-style questions. I also support non-native English speakers with academic writing and speaking. I offer a free 15-minute consultation, flexible scheduling, and personalized lessons; I ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
