I am Moon, a fashion designer and educator based in New York. I received my MFA fashion design degree at Fashion Institute of Technology (2017-2019), as a first cohort, selected as the winner of the departmental medal from graduate study. I graduated from BFA fashion design from Pratt Institute in New York (2016). When I entered Pratt, I received the highest scholarship, and was selected as a Seemann Burse Fund scholarship recipient by placing in the president's list every semester, and I was awarded Pratt Circle Award and graduated from Pratt with honors. I also won many prestigious competitions from Nike, H&M, Amazon, CFDA, Cotton Inc., Ralph Pucci, NYFW CAAFD, etc.
One of the biggest reasons for studying in MFA was that I had a goal of teaching, and I have a passion to pass on your experiences and expertise to students. My ultimate mission is to challenge myself as a designer and educator who cares about fashion and people, more in realistic ways and to communicate with people.
My experience of teaching has been over 10 years, starting from my age of 21, and many of my students received the highest scholarship from Parsons, Pratt, FIT, SVA, NYU, and Otis.
And the below is the college portfolio prep curriculum.
