I was a Google career coach for many years and received the Associate Certified Coach credentials. I attended Harvard undergrad and UCLA MBA, and serve as a Harvard alumni interviewer. I specialize in helping students get into the Ivy League (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, UPenn, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell), Stanford, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge. I have special expertise working with Asian American students, to help them stand out via unique angle/passion projects amidst colleges' holistic admissions process.

I also conduct long term college admissions planning, how to maximize each summer in terms of doing research, internships, get started on building an amazing passion project that stands out. I give personality assessments to determine values, passions, academic interests, career goals. For juniors and seniors, I coach them on how to ask and get great teacher recommendations, build a balanced college list, brainstorm application essays, essay review, standardized testing strategy (ie SAT vs ACT, test optional strategy), and build yearly, quarterly and monthly college application plans.

In terms of working with professionals for career development, I specialize in working with individual contributors who want to be people managers, mid-level people managers who want to get into senior management, professionals who want to make a career transition and switch industries. While I welcome professionals from all backgrounds, I have a special expertise in working with Asian Americans to break the glass ceiling or bamboo ceiling.

I help professionals with long term career planning, how to make a career transition, start a side hustle to explore other careers, how to stand out as a people manager, resume writing and editing, job interview practice, and how to get a job via LinkedIn or using a Job Search Networking Plan.

I have coached over 100 professionals at Google and in my private practice. I have helped numerous clients transition from one job to another, or find a new job. I’m the founder and 1st chair of the Asian Googler Network, the employee resource group at Google. I created a nation-wide mentoring program that matched senior execs to junior members. Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal about the differences (and importance) of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship, and how professionals can climb the corporate ladder faster by finding a coach, mentor and sponsor.
