I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating with a 3.92 GPA. I am board-certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing and also hold a geriatric nursing certification. Before becoming a nurse, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a Master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology, giving me a strong foundation in biology, infection, disease processes, and the sciences that support nursing care.

Teaching has always come naturally to me. From my early school years through college and graduate education, I was often the student in study groups who helped break down difficult concepts into simpler explanations that made sense to others. I enjoy taking information that feels overwhelming and making it more understandable, organized, and practical.

I currently work in adult medical-surgical nursing, where I regularly use clinical reasoning, prioritization, patient assessment, medication knowledge, and evidence-based nursing practice. I especially enjoy helping students understand the “why” behind nursing concepts rather than simply memorizing facts. I am comfortable helping with medical-surgical nursing, dosage calculations, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, NCLEX-style questions, prioritization, and clinical reasoning.

I also understand how demanding nursing school can be when life is happening at the same time. I completed my BSN with a 3.92 GPA while pregnant with my first child, which taught me the importance of studying efficiently, staying organized, and breaking large amounts of information into manageable steps. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, strengthening their understanding, and building confidence in their ability to succeed.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

As a Med-Surg RN-BC, I use anatomy every shift when assessing patients, interpreting symptoms, and connecting disease processes to the structures and body systems involved. My nursing education and clinical experience have strengthened my understanding of anatomy in a practical, real-world context. I also have a strong science background from my degrees in Microbiology and Environmental and Public Health Microbiology. I enjoy simplifying anatomy and helping students connect structures to function, disease, and bedside care.
NCLEX

NCLEX

I am a registered nurse and Nurse Clinician with hands-on medical-surgical experience caring for complex adult patients. I am board certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing (RN-BC) and certified in gerontological nursing, giving me a strong foundation in the clinical concepts commonly tested on the NCLEX. I enjoy breaking difficult nursing concepts into simple, practical explanations and helping students understand the reasoning behind the correct answer—not just memorize facts. I can help students strengthen content knowledge, prioritization, delegation, pharmacology, and NCLEX-style test-taking strategies.
Nursing

Nursing

I am a registered nurse and Nurse Clinician with hands-on medical-surgical experience caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. I am board certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing (RN-BC) and certified in gerontological nursing, with a strong foundation in clinical assessment, prioritization, pharmacology, and patient care. I enjoy breaking complex nursing concepts into clear, practical explanations and helping students connect classroom knowledge to real clinical situations. I also help nursing students and new nurses navigate nursing practice by strengthening clinical reasoning, prioritization, organization, communication, time management, and confidence in transitioning from the classroom to bedside nursing.
Physiology

Physiology

I am a registered nurse with a strong foundation in physiology and experience applying physiological concepts in direct patient care. I help students understand how body systems function and connect those concepts to real clinical situations, rather than relying on memorization alone. I have always enjoyed breaking complex concepts into simpler, understandable pieces for my peers and students. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in physiology that supports success in nursing and other health science courses.
