Hello! My name is Louis. I am a university graduate currently on sabbatical. If you have been struggling with the SAT Exam, the Regents Exams, AP courses, or College Courses, let me tell you–I have been in your shoes. In High School, I took all of those. Later, I graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. My background is in Solid Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics, both of which require a graduate level in math. During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I was a course assistant teaching third year students who were also majoring in mechanical engineering.
Currently, I am a part-time Senior Tutor specialized in math subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Multi-Variable Calculus, at a community college. My approach is simple. I spend the most time on the fundamental laws, theorems, and definitions in math. Someone who knows the rules of the game can think freely and use math to his/her advantage, instead of being bound to “following the examples” and “memorizing steps”. I encourage students to conform math to their needs, instead of conforming to math.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a lesson.
All the best,
Louis
