I am an experienced educator with a strong academic background and many years of teaching and tutoring experience. I graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College of the City University of New York with a major in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Education. During my undergraduate studies, I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa for academic excellence. My educational background allows me to tutor students in a variety of subjects, including English language arts, reading comprehension, writing, biology, psychology, and study skills.

I have more than fifteen years of teaching experience working with elementary and middle school students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. As a classroom teacher, I developed and delivered lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and academic abilities, including students in inclusion classrooms. I have also provided individualized academic support to students who needed additional assistance mastering concepts, improving reading skills, strengthening writing abilities, and building confidence in their academic performance.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and highly personalized. I begin by assessing a student's strengths, challenges, and learning goals, then develop targeted strategies to help them succeed. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel supported, encouraged, and actively engaged in the process. Whether I am helping a younger student build foundational skills or assisting an older learner with organization, study techniques, or subject-specific content, my goal is to create a positive learning environment that promotes both academic achievement and confidence.
