I have received a Bachelors’ degree in Fine Arts- Fashion from the Rhode Island School of Design and have over 20 years of working experience in the fashion industry. In that time, I have worked as a Fashion Designer, Fashion CAD Print Designer, and Fashion Art Director in High Fashion, Contemporary, and Missy Markets. I have trained well over 20 designers and interns in that time on how to apply their skills to the real world fashion industry from concept to production. I have taught designers many ways to manipulate Adobe programs to be functional for fashion in regards to pattern making, fashion and technical sketching, print making, and embroidery/embellishment layouts. I feel that I can apply those many years of work training to a teaching position, where I can help students gain applicable skills and prepare for careers that use Adobe programs.
Most recently I have been teaching STEAM classes to elementary school students. I have gained a great understanding on what methods work in helping students on all levels learn.
