About Rushi

Bio

I received a perfect score on all the Wyzant diagnostic tests in order to become a tutor and have been tutoring for 5 years.

I currently work as an Actuary for an insurance company. I work with numbers everyday and it's been my passion since childhood. I tutored in college, and I have a lot of experience Elementary Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and Calculus. I specialize in regents prep.

I currently work as an Actuary for an insurance company. I work with numbers everyday and it's been my passion since childhood. I tutored in college, and I have a lot of experience Elementary Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and Calculus. I specialize in regents prep.

In high school, I took AP Calculus AB and scored a 5. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math back in 2014 from the University of Pittsburgh. Since then, I have been working within the insurance field.

Prior to my junior year in high school, I wasn't a great student. I always had a strong inclination towards Math, but I did not feel that my classes were engaging enough. However, during my junior year, my Math teacher saw my ability to quick understand difficult concepts and was able to challenge me further. She was very patient with me and I try to incorporate her method into the way I tutor.

I'm a highly motivated and enthusiastic tutor and I believe I can provide great services to my students. Although I work in the insurance industry, I have always had a passion to teach. I feel that I can provide examples that are easy to pick up on and can greatly benefit the student. I'm very responsive with my communication, so reaching out to me shouldn't be a problem.

So Lucky I Found Him

Rushi is an excellent tutor, something I discovered within the first 5 minutes of working with him. I rely on Google Sheets for work and was stuck on how to perform some very specific and sophisticated functions. Just finished a lesson on Precalculus. Mr. Rushi was very patient with me.
