I am a self-motivated person, and was born and brought up in Jamaica, the giant of the English speaking Caribbean, where I attended both, West Indies College High School, and College. I majored in Theology and Business which is in transit however, for fifteen years I did my own printing business, then Migrated to the United States where I enrolled in a Criminal Justice program, and graduated with a BSc. with special emphasis in Juvenile Justice. Presently I am a Church Leader, and work as a Bible Instructor for the Sharon S.D. A. church.
While operating my business, I was attached to various youth groups such as , Youth Clubs, Parent Teachers Association, Cricket Clubs, Agricultural groups, and after School programs with mainly High School drop outs. On the other hand, incarcerated, and abandoned youths were a major concern, as I visited them in various institution, and help to organize various programs so that they could become purposeful in their communities again. With this determination, I am dedicated to assist youths and all those who are in need of my service to realized their dream, as one attitude with determine his altitude in life. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was born and brought up in Jamaica W.I. where I attended the New Green Primary School, West Indies College High school and West Indies College, where I studied Theology and Business. Managing my own business as sole proprietor for the next 15 years, helped me to work with many social groups, both individually and collectively. These groups included after school classes, Police Youth Clubs, and varying Church groups, with whom I have worked very closely on a voluntary and consultative level. This has helped to equip and prepare me with problem solving techniques related to juveniles and their many challenges.
Migrating to the United States was a plus as I was able to complete the Associate and Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. I am also a candidate in the Master's of science in Criminal Justice at the Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
