Hello.

In 2016, I left a financial services job in the private sector and have journeyed on to a new career as a college professor and K-12 math tutor.

In 2016, I left a financial services job in the private sector and have journeyed on to a new career as a college professor and K-12 math tutor.

In the past six years, I have tutored third through sixth graders as they prepared for New York State math tests, high school algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus and college-level economics and calculus. I also teach Principles of Microeconomics at local colleges. In the past, I was also an adjunct professor of Economics (Money and Banking).

During 2013-2016, I was the New York based editor for an international bank, where my primary responsibility was to edit research and strategy reports. My clients were both native and non-native English speakers.

I spent many years training clients, employees and talking to the media. As a result I have a strong training background. Most of it involved teaching clients to use our financial products and computer applications, training my staff and colleagues on our products and the financial markets, and interpreting economic statistics for reporters.

In the past five years, I have tutored all levels of mathematics, from third and fourth graders as they prepared for New York State math tests, through high school calculus. In addition I tutor college-level microeconomics. In addition to tutoring, I am currently an adjunct professor of Economics.

Over the past five years, I have tutored more than a dozen students in Algebra II. It has been my leading and most successful subject for the 2016-20 school years. It is a complex subject, and I have the ability to successfully explain some of the more complex issues to my students.

In the past five years I have tutored all levels of mathematics -- from 6th grade math through high school AP Calculus. For calculus, I have tutored basic calculus and both AP Calculus AB & BC. I have tutored this course at several schools around lower Westchester county. As a result, I have experienced a variety of teaching styles across about ½ dozen schools.

Over the past five years, most of my students were studying Algebra II (including honors levels) and pre-calculus. I covered many towns in Westchester county, so I was able to experience different types of teaching and coursework styles, but was able to adopt to all of them. I enjoy this level of mathematics, and have been able to supplement schoolwork with that bit of extra one-on-one tutoring that some students need and react to well.

A plethora of knowledge , very informative

Preparing for my final exam Maureen and I primarily worked on trig she helped me solve many problems together and explain to me different ways to attack these problems we discussed the unit circle and group factoring
