Good day students allow me to provide you with a small window into my experience. I currently am a middle school Social Studies/ History teacher in the New York City department of Education where I my focus is specifically on American History. However; in terms of my overall experience I have been teaching for eight years where in addition to my time in middle school I have also spent 3 years as a high school teacher where my speciality was along with American History, Global History, Economics & American government.

Finally; since 2011 I have also taught undergraduate courses at Mercy College. The class in question is referred to as Critical Inquiry which is class that focuses on multiple disciplines of understanding. The students are required to utilize their writing, speaking and critical thinking skills.
Also within my 8 plus years of teaching I have been confronted with a diverse set of students all with different scholastic levels and strengths. In throughout that time what I have come to understand is that all students learn differently and as such it is our challenge to determine that style and hone it to meet our given needs.

Given this vast array of experience I am confident that the skills I have cultivated and nurtured will easily translate to the one on one dynamic of tutoring.

It is my ability to simplify the process for my students. Writing is a series of internal questions that we inturn answer thereby creating a written narative. It has been a technique of mine to focus in those internal questions and take a step by step approach rather than taking a more all encompassing manner.

My vast array of knowledge of the subject along with my ability to translate the material to the students by using points of entries and experiences from their lives.
