Hello parents and students!

I've been tutoring AP History, AP Psychology, and AP Human Geography since 2021, when I started working with The Princeton Review. I've also been tutoring independently on Wyzant for the past five years, helping students prepare for exams, improve class performance, and build confidence in these subjects.

Hello parents and students!

I've been tutoring AP History, AP Psychology, and AP Human Geography since 2021, when I started working with The Princeton Review. I've also been tutoring independently on Wyzant for the past five years, helping students prepare for exams, improve class performance, and build confidence in these subjects.

I have a B.A. in Anthropology and Environmental Studies, an M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and I'm currently working toward my Master of Public Health (MPH). I'm also someone who genuinely enjoys learning, so I've completed additional coursework and certificates in areas like archaeology, instructional design, environmental public health, and wetland science. Much of my research focuses on how the environment affects human health and communities.

My sessions are conversational rather than scripted. I explain concepts, ask questions throughout the lesson to make sure students are following along, and adjust my approach based on what they're struggling with. For students who plan to meet with me regularly, I like to start with a practice assessment so we can figure out what's already solid, what needs more attention, and how to use our time effectively.

A quick note about scheduling: because I'm currently in graduate school and also work on research projects, I ask that sessions be booked during my posted availability. Unfortunately, I'm usually not able to accommodate last-minute requests, but I'll always do my best to be as flexible as my schedule allows.

I have been tutoring AP US history, college US history, and K-12 US history for the last three years with The Princeton Review and my students' grades have improved by at least one letter in their classes. I have also helped my students to earn a 5 of the AP US history exam. I maintain high student ratings through TPR and pride myself on helping students to understand the interconnection of historical events.

I have a bachelor of arts in anthropology. I maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout my program duration. Courses included: Introduction to Anthropology, Anthropology in the Contemporary World, Ethics in Anthropology, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Gender and Kinship in Anthropology (listed as 'anthropology elective' on my transcripts). I currently tutor cultural anthropology at the high school and college level and have for 2 years.
