Hi! My name is Muhammad, and I am a third-year medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY. I completed my undergraduate education at Stony Brook University, graduating cum laude with a major in Health Science and a minor in Health and Wellness.
At Touro COM, I currently serve as a Teaching Assistant for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) and Physiology, where I help teach complex medical concepts to fellow students and guide them through difficult material in a clear and structured way. These roles have strengthened my ability to break down challenging topics and teach them in a way that actually sticks.
As the first person in my family to pursue medicine, I had to navigate the pre-med and medical school journey largely on my own. Because of that experience, I understand how overwhelming science courses and the path to medicine can feel without guidance. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students succeed academically but also to mentor students who are pursuing careers in healthcare.
My Teaching Style:
My approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts and helping students truly understand the material rather than memorizing it. I use visual explanations, clinical connections, and active recall techniques to help students build strong foundations in anatomy and physiology.
