Algebra 1

As a New York certified math teacher with a Master’s degree and 13 years of classroom experience, I specialize in helping students master the specific standards required to excel on the Algebra 1 Regents exam. I have successfully taught the Algebra 1 Regents course for 10 years. I have analyzed years of past Regents exams. I know exactly which topics are heavily weighted, how questions are phrased to trick students, and where students typically lose points. I train students exactly how to maximize partial credit on Part II, III, and IV constructed-response questions. They will learn precisely what NY State graders look for when scoring work. I ensure students are completely fluent with their TI-84 calculators, teaching them time-saving shortcuts for graphing, finding roots, and checking system solutions during the test.

I am a NY Certified math teacher, with a Bachelor's Degree in Math and a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education. Over my 13 years as a math teacher for grades 3-8, including the Algebra 1 Regents, I am very fluent with both the Common Core Learning Standards and the Next Generation Learning Standards.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught math to grades 3-8 for 13 years. I taught multiple grades at once, and all of my 13 years as a math teacher included teaching at least one grade in the 3rd-6th grade range, and often taught every single one of those grades during the same school year. This makes me highly qualified to not only help with math at students' current grade level, but I know which skills are most important to focus on in order to be successful in upcoming years.

Elementary Math

I am a NY Certified Math Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Math and a Master's Degree in Math Education. I have worked with grades 3-8 for 13 years. I had the opportunity to work with the same students year after year. My students would often start in a lower level math class in 34d grade, but by the time they reached 8th grade, they had become so proficient in math that they were able to move up to the Algebra 1 Regents.

Prealgebra

I am a NY Certified Math Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Math and a Master's Degree in Math Education. I taught grades 3-8 as well as the Algebra 1 Regents. Having worked with the same students year after year, I have prepared my students with the Pre-Algebra skills needed to be successful with the Algebra 1 course, culminating in the Algebra 1 Regents.
