I have always loved helping individuals build confidence in their academic abilities, and I have experience tutoring students one-on-one in biology, chemistry, math, English, and Spanish. Working closely with students has shown me how meaningful personalized support can be.

My passion for teaching developed during my time at the University of Michigan, where I worked as a Biology Study Group Facilitator. Leading weekly sessions for both introductory and intermediate courses taught me how to break complex ideas into clear, manageable explanations. I learned to adjust my teaching style based on each student’s strengths, questions, and learning preferences. Many of my students told me that our sessions helped them not just improve their grades but also believe in their ability to succeed, which is the part of tutoring I find most rewarding.

My research experience has also shaped my ability to communicate concepts effectively. I have worked in neuroscience, dentistry, public health, and clinical psychology research settings, including at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Presenting my work at conferences and contributing to published research required me to explain detailed scientific ideas in a simple, engaging way. Living and working in Madrid further strengthened my Spanish proficiency and my ability to support students learning a new language.

My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and highly individualized. I hope to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace.

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have tutored math for several years, helping students strengthen core skills and build confidence across a wide range of topics. I scored in the top 1% on the math sections of both the ACT and the DAT (Dental Admission Test), demonstrating strong quantitative mastery. My tutoring approach focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and adapting to each student’s learning style. I am committed to making math approachable and helping students achieve meaningful score improvements.
Biology

Biology

I have tutored biology for several years and hundreds of students in mastering foundational and advanced concepts. At the University of Michigan, I facilitated Intro Biology (BIO 171) and Physiology (BIO 225), gaining hands-on experience guiding students through challenging material. I also tutored biology throughout college, helping learners strengthen understanding through clear explanations and active practice. I scored in the top 1% on the biology section of the DAT, reflecting strong subject mastery and a deep command of the content I teach.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have several years of experience tutoring chemistry, with a particular focus on helping students master inorganic chemistry concepts. Through years of one-on-one and group support, I’ve developed a clear, patient teaching style that adapts to each student’s needs. I’m dedicated to helping learners strengthen their understanding and excel in their chemistry coursework.
DAT (Dental)

DAT (Dental)

I scored in the 98th percentile on the Dental Admission Test (DAT), demonstrating strong mastery across the exam’s science and reasoning sections. I am currently in my gap year working as a dental assistant, tutoring students, and pursuing research, which has strengthened both my clinical and academic experience. I have extensive knowledge of DAT subjects—including biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, quantitative reasoning, reading, and perceptual ability—and understand how to teach them clearly and effectively. I will be starting dental school next summer and am committed to helping students achieve their highest potential on the DAT.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I have been through multiple dental school interviews myself and understand what the process is really like. Along the way, I learned what admissions committees respond to, how to communicate confidently, and how to navigate both expected and challenging questions. My firsthand experience has given me practical strategies for preparation, professionalism, and making a strong impression. By sharing what I’ve learned, I can help others feel more prepared and confident heading into their own interviews.
Spanish

Spanish

I lived and studied in Madrid for six months in 2024, where I also conducted neuroscience research that deepened my academic and cultural immersion. In 2023, I volunteered at a dental clinic in Guatemala, further strengthening my Spanish fluency in real-world, service-focused settings. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I tutored Spanish and developed strong communication skills that help me support students at all levels. My background combines academic rigor, cultural experience, and hands-on teaching to create an engaging and effective learning environment.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I have worked closely with special needs students for many years, beginning with volunteer roles in high school and continuing through more individualized mentorship. I mentored a young boy with special needs, teaching him English and supporting his academic and personal growth with patience and consistency. Through these experiences, I have developed a compassionate, adaptable approach rooted in understanding each student’s unique strengths and challenges. I am committed to creating a positive, supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.
