I was a lecturer and public speaker for not-for-profit FEGS of NY, conducting lessons for children and young adults on various social topics from third grade to college. This professional experience allowed me to customize the curriculum and deliver an engaging lecture quickly. In addition, I learned how to provide challenging content in an accessible and engaging manner.
My subsequent teaching experiences as an educational coach in a high school resource room further enhanced my tutoring skills. I was responsible for assisting all students struggling with reading and writing, regardless of the subject. Additionally, I was directly responsible for modifying academic expectations as specified by the student's IEP.
