Hello I'm Marietta! I am an independent contractor who has been teaching special needs children ages 2-12 for more than 20 years. I find it both challenging and rewarding, and have always had a good rapport with the families I work with. Previously, I worked in a supervisory position with 2 different agencies that provided services to special needs children. Although I enjoyed supervising, my true love is working one-to-one with children and helping them succeed. I bring a variety of toys/tasks with me as well as supplement with some of your child's favorite things at home in order to help them generalize skills across all domains. I am patient, upbeat, and always make learning fun!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Special Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Special Education and am certified to teach K-12. However, I am most comfortable teaching younger students and do not have experience with the upper grades.
