About Mehran

Bio

I was born in Tehran. I moved to Canada and then the US in my 20s. I have a PhD in Middle Eastern Studies. I have published, taught, and lectured on Iran in the US and internationally.

When I was in college I started a Farsi club, and taught Farsi. I have translated parts of some original texts from the 19th century from Persian into English.

I love teaching Farsi. My favorite topic is Persian poetry. I grew up reading the Shahnameh. I would feel accomplished when I can teach you...
