I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Wantagh School District for over five years teaching the following subjects: physical science, living environment, Italian, and pre-algebra. Privately, I have been tutoring SAT/ACT/GMAT students, middle and high school students in chemistry, algebra, living environment and elementary school students in math.

The parents of the students that I have worked with have been pleased with the one to one attention that I have given their children and with the results. I personalize my instruction to the students' interests to make the subject matter more relevant to their point of reference.

I am passionate about learning and enjoy when the individuals pick up on this enthusiasm and revisit the subject matter we are studying with a new perspective.

ACT tutor

Mona has been working with my 16-year-old daughter every day on ACT preparation. Mona has helped my daughter develop a work plan, master math and English skills, and practice all test sections. My daughter says that Mona has taken time to get to know her and to adapt sessions to her particular learning style and skill gaps. Mona also provides a thorough summary of the work accomplished after each lesson. We have the highest praise for Mona and recommend her wholeheartedly.

Thank you Mona, as always for the great communication. I am pleased and happy with you. We hoping to get a great score as I have stressed to Alexis it is important to buckle down as always and be prepared the best she can. I encouraged her that if she doesn’t do so well this test there’s always another test and will continue to use you as her tutor to prepare if next test is necessary. Appreciate you and your hard work.
