Hi! I’m Jionna, a USC graduate with a degree in Law, History & Culture. I graduated with honors and have several years of experience tutoring students in English, history, writing, reading comprehension, and test preparation.
As a student, I earned 4s and 5s on my AP exams and scored nearly perfectly on the SAT English section. I understand how stressful challenging classes and exams can feel, and I enjoy helping students break down difficult material in a way that feels clear and manageable.
I’ve worked with students from elementary school through college, both online and in person. My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and practical. I help students strengthen their writing, improve reading comprehension, prepare for exams, organize their ideas, and build confidence in subjects that may feel overwhelming.
One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing the “light bulb moment” when a student finally understands something that felt confusing before. I try to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building real confidence over time.
I also help with essays, including class essays, application essays, and writing assignments. I can help students brainstorm, outline, revise, and polish their work while keeping their own voice and ideas at the center.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, improving their writing, or building better study habits, I’d be happy to help create a plan that fits their goals.
