My bachelor's degree from Columbia College, MO is in Huminites/English. I retired after 25 years working as a Teaching Assistant in the Syracuse City School District, in July of 2023. During my years there I worked with all grade levels from Pre-K to 12. My last seven years involved enhancing reading and writing skills across grades K-8, as well as collaborating with all educators. In addition, I implemented targeted interventions....

My bachelor's degree from Columbia College, MO is in Huminites/English. I retired after 25 years working as a Teaching Assistant in the Syracuse City School District, in July of 2023. During my years there I worked with all grade levels from Pre-K to 12. My last seven years involved enhancing reading and writing skills across grades K-8, as well as collaborating with all educators. In addition, I implemented targeted interventions. The last two years were in middle school as a reading specialist. In addition, I have worked with special education students in small groups and in the classroom modifying work, planning lessons, teaching study skills and note taking. During Covid I ran an after-school book club virtually.

In my free time I like to spend time walking and hiking with my dog Mabel and going to see live music. My husband and I have two grown boys out of college.

I really enjoy helping students become better readers and writers, it is a skill needed throughout life.
