Hello! I’m Ryan Cereola, a certified New York State math teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students in Algebra 2, Geometry, AP Statistics, and SAT Math. In addition to my classroom work, I currently serve as an Assistant Principal overseeing a high school math department. In this role, I work closely with curriculum design, instruction, and assessment, including preparation for the NYS Regents exams. This gives me a strong understanding of both the content students need to master and how they are evaluated on high-stakes tests.

I specialize in helping students improve their performance in math courses while building the confidence needed to succeed independently. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and engaging students in active problem solving. During virtual sessions, I use an interactive digital classroom that allows students to work through problems in real time and receive immediate feedback, creating a collaborative and effective learning environment.

Whether a student is preparing for a Regents exam, working toward a higher SAT math score, or simply looking to strengthen their understanding of key concepts, I provide targeted, personalized support designed to produce real results. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in future math courses and beyond.

An upbeat tutor who explains well and makes learning fun

Ryan's style of teaching worked well with my daughter who has a math disability. He thoroughly explained concepts before working through practice problems and having her repeat the steps back as she carried them out.
